Position Objectives: To direct, promote and coordinate operations in a manner that will increase market share, promote earnings, and deliver positive patron experience. He or she is accountable for orchestrating staff and employing facilities to positively represent the objectives and character of the cooperative.
Position Responsibilities: Position may or may not supervise Grain Division due to candidate experience and interest as well as potential internal restructuring. Position is responsible for operational fluency, product procurement, employee selection, deployment, supervision and development, inventory controls, safety practices, environmental and regulatory stewardship, fixed asset recommendations, customer service, business controls, sales growth, risk management, and financial outcome for agronomic system inclusive of five primary service centers with $50,000,000 in annual sales. Position reports directly to the General Manager-some Board of Director interaction is required. Excellent interpersonal skills required as well as leadership, accountability, integrity and communicative traits. Self governance and computer literacy also represent required attributes. This position is also responsible for cultivating key business partner and patron relationships and maintaining a total organizational perspective.
Minimum of ten years proven professional management experience preferred with strong agronomic knowledge. Business or Agronomy degree preferred with demonstrated prior professional success. Position will directly supervise as many as 25 employees and is responsible for the performance of employees indirectly supervised. Certification as a CCA or CPAg is recommended. Also VRT experience would be a plus. Candidate must have a Commercial Applicator License.
