Careers

The career you want, the quality of life you need.

Countryside Cooperative operates across a large swath of west-central Wisconsin, and we offer rewarding positions for people who value a career without the rat race the metro areas can bring. After all, our idea of a traffic jam is getting stuck behind a combine on a crisp, sunny late October afternoon!

We’re always looking for good people. If you’d enjoy working for a company that seeks to make a positive difference in the communities it serves, then we’d like to talk more.

Consider:

  • We are large enough to provide opportunities for career growth, but small enough to know you on a first-name basis.
  • Our salaries are competitive with neighboring metro areas, and they are top-level in the communities we serve.
  • In a given year, we’ll hire more than 100 seasonal positions.
  • We often create a full-time position that offers variety instead of hiring many par time employees. For example, we might create a position that allows an employee to move between different areas, like agronomy to grain to energy, to fill out a full year. We post positions on our website and also on Indeed, Zip Recruiter and LinkedIn. You can also fill out a general application to be considered for a range of jobs that come available.

Benefits

We offer employees a competitive suite of benefits, and eligibility depends on whether you work full- or part-time. Health, dental and vision are offered; as well as life insurance, 401K and paid vacation and holidays.

We also offer an exclusive employee discount program. After working 90 days, you are eligible to receive discounts on retail purchases, gasoline, LP and much more.

Employee Spotlight

Doug Yule, Southern Territory Area Propane Manager

This month we highlight Doug for his exceptional customer service he provides to our members and customers everyday. Doug is always finding ways to make the customer experience a memorable moment.

Prior to coming to Countryside, Doug owned two businesses that equipped him with unique skill sets which have proven valuable for not only the propane team - but for Countryside as a whole. Doug joined Countryside in 2012 as an LP driver. By August of 2015, the management team of Countryside recognized Doug’s talent for selling and was moved into propane sales. Doug worked in this position for just over one year when his role once again increased as he took on the responsibilities of his current position.

Doug juggles many plates throughout the day for Countryside. He manages the southern area propane drivers, he sells diesel, oil, refined fuels, and propane to both residential and commercial accounts. Doug also is called upon to consult with schools, businesses, and manufacturing for his expertise in propane systems.

Doug also serves on the leadership team and is one of three managers who lead Countryside’s Cross Business Unit Sales teams - an initiative to increase sales while developing deeper relationships with members/customers. Doug also in instrumental in bringing relevant and informed information to our customers through his videos #PropanePointers which can be seen on Countryside’s website and social media.

Countryside would like to thank Doug for all of his contributions. His willingness to step up and his dedication to safety exemplifies our values. Congratulations, Doug.
