Throughout our history, Countryside has faced many difficult challenges and adversities. These experiences have taught us how to be resilient, how to be adaptable, and how to find resolve in seeking ways to work together to weather these situations.
Our most current adversity is unprecedented, not only for agricultural cooperatives, but for every type of business throughout our country…COVID-19. It is because of the current situation that Countryside and Landmark have been investing significant time and effort to implement necessary operational changes which has resulted in a slowing of our merger exploration process.
Our merger exploration is continuing, and we believe that joining forces is even more crucial now than in the pre-COVID-19 environment. At the present moment, Countryside and Landmark are focused on ways to ensure that our members and customers have the products and services they need for their daily operations while ensuring to protect the health and safety of our members, employees, and communities.
Another reason why we have temporarily slowed the pace of the merger exploration is in hopes that we can hold town hall meetings - to gather together as a community to discuss the merger exploration. We have always considered it important to be available to you, to listen to you, and connect with you one-on-one. Over the years, we have built strong relationships with our members and customers and will always be here to help address short-term operational challenges and plan for future success.
Communication is critical during these uncertain times, and it’s our commitment to you to do so in a prompt and timely manner. We will continue to provide the most up-to-date information on the merger exploration process and changes to our processes and operations as part of our COVID-19 response plans.
We sincerely appreciate your support and business, and for your continued understanding of the current situation surrounding COVID-19. For further updates click on
